FAMU graduate Will Packer and his Rainforest Films are preparing to shoot a new thriller starring Beyonce Knowles called “Obsessed”. Along with Knowles, the movie will include Ali Larter and Idris Elba Filming is set to begin on May 5 with the movie making its big screen debut in 2009.Knowles would play the wife of an asset manager (Elba) who finds he’s being stalked by an office temp (Larter).
Packer is also planning to produce an urban remake of “The Big Chill” later this fall.

Will Packer is the next Spike Lee. He's landing the biggest names for his films. And best of all, he's a very humble, down-to-earth Rattler.
ReplyDeletePacker's another fine example of how Dr. Humphries brought the best and brightest to the hill. Will gave Humphries a huge thank-you and shot at homecoming convocation.
I can't wait to see the great things that will be accomplished by all young scholars Dr. Ammons is recruiting.
Hold on...what about the ones already here we're not good because we was recruited through inept leadership does that make us less educated, or experienced...
ReplyDeleteAmmons doesn't believe that the students who enrolled after Humphries left are poor quality. He categorically rejected Castell's statement that FAMU's students ranked as 2s on a 4-point scale. He ranked FAMU's students as 10s on a 4-point scale.
ReplyDeleteI think we can express excitement about Will Packer and the new students Ammons is recruiting without any stated or implied slight against the current students.
GOD IS TREMENDOUSLY AWESOME IN EVERY WAY POSSIBLE. God is using FAMU's past and present students, to put the world on notice that we see where we are going. We have caught the vision.
